The People Development

Project Essence traces its roots from August 2007, where a group of talented individuals installed artistic attributes into determined and passionate performers. Challenged with training workshops in dance, theatre and catwalk through the development programme, they transformed into well-rounded, versatile artists.

These artists stunned their first audience in The Canary Wharf Plc, successfully demonstrating their immense abilities and unique charisma. Their potential was further exposed in the 'Essence trailer' and 'Essence Promo'.

Artist Development Phase 

The training provides extensive movement vocabulary in various forms of dance and is enhanced by the in-depth theatre-coaching provided for each individual.

Drawing upon systems of performance to produce flashes of inspiration, these artists are emerging as multitalented versatile performers working well towards their reward of touring the production on a national scale.

How to get involved 

We will be holding open auditions and casting opportunities for artists who are interested in taking part on the project. The training programme will be held throughout August and the tour will take place at the end of the month and into September.
